Health Camp at Intellectual Disable Parents Forum Brings Joy to Families
Lalitpur, June 3 – The Rotaract Club of Lalitpur Midtown, in partnership with West Wing Secondary School and Intellectual Disable Parents Forum, orchestrated a highly impactful health camp today at the premises of the forum situated within Lalitpur's Mahalaxmi Municipality, Ward No. 8. This event was meticulously designed to extend vital support and services to individuals afflicted with intellectual disabilities and their families. The profound success of this endeavor underscored the societal significance of inclusivity and compassion, thereby leaving an indelible imprint on the lives it profoundly touched.Mr. Bishwo Raj Shrestha, the esteemed Ward Chairperson of Mahalaxmi Municipality, graced the event as the chief guest, lending significant weight to the imperative of community engagement and support for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Adding further impetus, Rtn. Sunil Krishna Shrestha, former president of the Rotary Club of Lalitpur Midtown and the current Club Advisor of the Rotaract Club of Lalitpur Midtown, extended invaluable guidance and assistance throughout the event's proceedings.
The unprecedented triumph of the health camp was made possible through the gracious sponsorship of Nepalhilfe Beilngreis e.V. Germany. A proficient team of six physiotherapist doctors from Nepal Medicitiy and CMC exhibited exceptional dedication, selflessly bestowing their time and expertise to furnish essential healthcare services to the participants. Nevertheless, the continuation of medical provisions and follow-up care hinges on the identification of additional sponsors or benefactors.
Local Rotaract members played an indispensable role in orchestrating the seamless execution of the event. Nineteen devoted Rotaract members and eighteen enthusiastic Interact members synergized their efforts to facilitate and administer the health camp's proceedings. The spirited participation of these emerging individuals exemplified the unwavering commitment of the community to altruistic service.
A pivotal highlight of the health camp was the comprehensive screenings that were conducted for all participants. These screenings garnered resounding appreciation from parents of intellectually disabled individuals, as they yielded crucial insights into the participants' health profiles and offered invaluable guidance for their future well-being. Profound gratitude was extended by the Intellectual Disable Parents Forum to all contributors, be it individuals, organizations, or medical professionals, who wholeheartedly devoted their time, expertise, and resources to ensure the unequivocal triumph of the health camp.
